Founder Makoto Suzuki established Suzuki Ironworks as a manufacturer of seaweed processing machines.
Mar.1962
Developed "Nori Feeder" which mechanizes the manual work of feeding bundles of laver into the baking machine.
Mechanization improves the supply speed by about 5 times.
Jun.1972
Reorganized as Suzuki Ironworks Co.

Head office and factory built Head office moved to current location

Constructed the second plant.

This triangular Rice ball sheet was invented by focusing on the nori (seaweed) used in Rice balls, which loses its texture.
Developed the "First Nori Wrapping Machine for Rice ball" which realized the maintenance of good crispy texture.

Suzuki Industrial Co., Ltd. was established as a rice processing machinery division.

Developed the "First Automatic Nori Packaging Machine" to maintain the texture and flavor of seasoned seaweed sealed in multiple sheets in a bottle, and achieved individual packaging.

Improved the film structure of the first generation Rice ball Nori Wrapping Machine, and developed the second generation Rice ball Nori Wrapping Machine, which wraps rice with nori (seaweed) with a good texture by pulling out the film.

Developed the "3rd Generation Rice ball Nori Wrapping Machine" which improved the film opening procedure of the 2nd generation Rice ball Nori Wrapping Machine.

Established Suzuki Engineering Co., Ltd. as a manufacturing and processing division.

Developed the "4th Generation Rice ball Nori Wrapping Machine" which pulls out and opens the Rice ball film from the top, left and right in that order.

Received the Director-General's Award from the Director-General of Science and Technology for holding approximately 200 patents in Japan and overseas.
